Now in its 11th year, the festival has grown from a small event featuring amateur competitions to a three-day festival including professional shows, vendors, children's games, displays and even a replica of an old lumberjack camp.
Chantal Rody, community development officer with the Town of Kapuskasing, explained even though the industry may not be strong, the festival is designed to celebrate the reason for the community's existence. -

Words in the Wilderness Literary Festival is a week-long festival of events in Sudbury, Ontario.
