we have a couple in our neighbourhood who feel compelled to trap any poor unsuspecting animals who happen to wander into their yard..then taking them to the citys animal shelter were they have 3 days before they are killed..so if you have a pet or love animals be very carefull of the saint brendan street area..there is no talking to them i tryed and they called the police on me..pretty heartless people
The loss of a pet is always tragic and I would not wish that on anyone. However, letting pets roam free is bad policy. It makes for friction between neighbours when pets go into other people's yards and poop, pee, destroy things, and kill songbirds. We have had many neighbourhood cats pee on our back steps and basement windows over the years, and let me tell you, that makes me really angry. It is also not safe for cats to run outside. They are much more likely to catch a disease or get injured. The bottom line is people's right to protect their property outweigh their neighbours' right to allow pets to roam around unfettered.
